So here's what I don't get about the story:
The beginning text implies that the mushrooms have information from across history stored in them and that by unlocking this knowledge the main character seeks to become a god. So our character gets some special mushrooms, then puts them in a machine which breaks them down chemically, analyzes them determining how far back the sample goes, then injects the user with a solution that shows them the mushroom's past memories. Somehow after an error occurs the user is stuck in a loop of being stabbed by the needle, despite the fact that the mushroom was already dead when you were injected with its memories, and the fact that the needle in the memory shouldn't be able to induce another flashback because it isn't real.
Honestly it’d be cooler if the mushrooms in game actually showed us environments from millions of years ago and we could explore the environments and encounter creepy stuff and forbidden knowledge about earth’s past.
The concept of the game is different and it surprised me, a different and unique theme, I had never heard of this subject of mycelium very interesting, congratulations on the different theme and the graphics which by the way are beautiful, keep it up
A short, weird fictiony trip to the deep dark woods. I did manage to get lost in said woods at the end there, but to be fair I didn't really do an orientation, I just sort of meandered the edge for a bit. And that kiss off. Good work.
Loved the concept and the atmosphere of the game. I didn't have much going on and yet it was eerie and unsettling the entire time. My only complaint is with the controls, having to spam E to cycle through the items got annoying pretty fast, maybe it'd be better to have the items bound to number keys or something like that. Other than that small detail, great game!
This was an awesome little experience dude! Very surreal and trippy, very cool ideas all throughout! It was fun exploring using the gadgets it felt very star trek. That ending was so unexpected but so cool! Great job I fully recommend! Here is my gameplay video, sub and help my channel grow!
Played your game and I gotta say it was just beautiful and well made I enjoyed it, the background noises sent chills and shivers down my spine good job and cant wait to see what else you create!
I'm so glad to see this game climbing up in the "Popular" section. This game is too cool to be lost in the rankings. I've already completed it 3 times, and absolutely coming back to play it again!
Hey- so there's a little puzzle with how to use the tools. I've just updated the game to make it a bit less difficult, would love to watch you play it again!

Gameplay PT-BR
i was on edge throughout the whole game waiting for something to pop out and getting stabbed repeatedly by a needle is terrifying lol good game
/editFor being made for a game jam this was not bad! Made a video on it.
Thank you for playing!
There is a grammatical error on Mycelium's itch.io page. It's 'Its tendrils listen' instead of 'It's tendrils listen'.
I refuse to play until it's fixed. :(
I suggest calling the grammar police
They didn't answer.
Good, tapi bingung sih nyari jamurnya oleh gelap banget mana kalau gak nyalain senter gak kelihatan.
The attention to detail in the world-building is astounding. with a rich history and lore to uncover.
where?
The voice acting is superb. really bringing the characters to life.
Exploring the forest was actually a pretty relaxing experience! I also really like the design for the mushrooms that we're searching for!
Thanks!!
